Evidence for Great Britain being Israel (of the seed of Ephraim)
1. "British" means "Covenant People"
The word “British” can be derived from the Hebrew words “briyth”
“briyth” (meaning covenant)
and
“'iysh” (meaning "people").
2. Ephraim (the birthright tribe) was promised to be a “multitude of nations”
Genesis 48:18-19
And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be
great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations. From Wikipedia
“The United Kingdom is a political union made up of four constituent countries: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The United Kingdom also has several overseas territories, including Gibraltar and the Falkland Islands. The dependencies
of the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, while possessions of the Crown and part of the British Isles, are not
part of the United Kingdom. A constitutional monarchy, the United Kingdom has close relationships with fifteen other
Commonwealth Realms that share the same monarch — Queen Elizabeth II — as head of state.”
Ask yourself…how can the common belief that all of “Israel” is the single nation made up by the Jews today fulfill the prophesy of being “multitude of nations”?
Great Britain fits this prophecy given in Genesis 48:18-19 (See:
The Jewish Nation should not Have Been Named “Israel” .
3. Judah (the Jews) split off from Israel, in David’s grandson’s reign over Israel. After the Jews split off, David’s seed still held the throne of Israel as promised by God.
2 Samuel 7:11-29
1 Chronicles 22:10
He shall build an house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever.
2 Chronicles 13:5
Ought ye not to know that the LORD God of Israel gave the kingdom over Israel to David for ever, even to him and to his sons by a covenant of salt?
God promised David that his seed will be on the throne of Israel for ever. David was a Jew. But his seed, even though being from the tribe of Israel, still reigned over Israel even though the rest of Judah split off from the birthright nation.
Queen Elisabeth’s Genealogy has been traced to King David.
5. Symbols that are used by Great Britain
Coat of Arms
Judah (the tribe with the scepter) is represented by a lion (Genesis 49:9-10)and Ephraim (the Birthright tribe)is represented by a unicorn (Deuteronomy 33:13-17)
David is of the tribe of Judah. David and his seed were not only given the scepter, but promised that it would be in the hand of his seed forever when God told him that his seed would be over the throne of Israel forever.
Notice that the British Coat of Arms has both the Lion and the Unicorn. The Lion has the crown, just as Judah was given the scepter. They are together on the Coat of Arms just as God brought the scepter and the birthright together when he placed David’s seed (which is of the seed of Judah and is the perpetual scepter holder) over the house of Israel forever.
The British Flag
The LORD is also referred to “The First and the Last”…or “The Alpha and Omega” (the first and last letters of the Greek Alphabet). In the Hebrew alphabet the first letter “Aleph” has the shape similar to the “X” and the last letter “Taw” is sometimes written as a “+”. If you superimpose the two letters, you would have what appears to be the Flag of Great Britain.
A good book that goes into many more of the historical and current symbols that are used by Great Britain and other Israelite nations is Symbols of Our Celto-Saxon Heritage
5. The People of Great Britain (and other Anglo-Saxon countries) are “Isaac’s sons”
Romans 9:7
Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
Hebrews 11:18
Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:
By looking at the above verses we should get a clue of who Israel is by whom they are name after. The word “Saxons” (pronounced "Sac sons") is derived from “Isaac’s sons”.
6. British tradition says the Stone of Scone is Jacob’s stone.
7. The verses below is a blessing/prophecy from Moses to the sons of Joseph (Ephraim and Manasseh)
Deuteronomy 33: 13-17
And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.
Now, which countries fulfilled this prophecy? Has the nation commonly known as “Israel” today “pushed the people together to the ends of the earth”? Do they have the “chief things of the ancient mountains” (gold, silver, copper, iron, etc.) and “the precious things of the earth”? Or has Britian and the US “push[ed] the people together to the ends of the earth” and do they have the chief things of the earth?
This page has some interesting prophecy. He has a different view of which countries are Ephraim and Manasseh (He thinks the US is Ephraim and Great Britain is Manasseh). He makes good points, check it out and make up your own mind.
