We will later compare Yahweh's laws with The United State's "better" and "more loving" laws.
God thought His laws that He set up were better than any other national laws. He thought they were so good, that other nations would look upon the nation that He set up and say to themselves "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people"! Was He wrong? Every nation seems to think so, because all nations have rejected his laws for their own.
Deuteronomy 4:5-8
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
Let us see how wise Yahweh's laws are.
God ran His whole nation off of a ten percent voluntary income tax, plus an extra ten percent every third year of a seven year cycle (Deuteronomy 14:28-29) for the welfare system (tithes did not go to spread a religion, it went to the government). This will come out to an income tax that was less than 13%! Most people in this world would love to have a 13% income tax! Many people in the world are so brainwashed to thinking that there national system is just a bed of roses. In 2008, the average American worked until April 23, to pay for all levels of government. That is right, the average "free" American paid 31% in overall taxes (if you do not count inflation as a tax) and some how think they live in a "free" country! And they want to spread this "freedom" to countries around the world! Let me share a condensed story of the Bible with you.
A pharaoh had a dream once. He could not interpret that dream. Yahweh, through Joseph (the boy with the coat of many colors), interpreted the dream for Pharaoh. He told him that there was going to be seven good years, followed by seven years of famine. Pharaoh then made Joseph second in command and in charge of overseeing the nation (Egypt) to get ready for the famine. During the famine, many cities came to Egypt for food. At first they bought food with the money they had stored up. Then when they ran out of money, they traded their flocks and herds of cattle for food. Then when they ran out of cattle to trade, they then sold their lands and themselves into slavery to Pharaoh.
"Then Joseph said unto the people, Behold, I have bought you this day and your land for Pharaoh: lo, here is seed for you, and ye shall sow the land. And it shall come to pass in the increase, that ye shall give the fifth part unto Pharaoh, and four parts shall be your own, for seed of the field, and for your food, and for them of your households, and for food for your little ones. And they said, Thou hast saved our lives: let us find grace in the sight of my master, and we will be Pharaoh's servants. And Joseph made it a law over the land of Egypt unto this day, that Pharaoh should have the fifth part..."[Gen 47:23-26]
Did you notice that these people who were now owned buy Pharaoh only had to pay a 20% income tax! No property taxes, or sales taxes, or all the other hidden taxes...but just a 20% income tax! If you think about it, being a slave to Pharaoh at this time was a whole lot better than being "free man" to the United States. But being a voluntary servant of Yahweh is much better than either! Again, under His system, we would only pay less than 13% and we would get many more blessings than any other government can give!
These are the blessings that we would receive if we kicked out the millions of laws and replaced them with Yahweh's laws:
1. God will give us rain in due season, (Lev 26:4)
2. Our crops will not fail (Lev 26:4)
3. We will have peace in the land (Lev 26:6-8)
4. Our days will be prolong in the land (Deut 5:33)
5. Our cattle will have plenty of grass to eat (Deut 11:15)
6. We will be able to eat until we are full (Lev 26:5)
7. He will take away all sickness (Deut 7:15)
8. God will, "pour you out a blessing, and will give you so much; you won't have room to store it all! (Malachi 3:10)".
9. We will lend to other nations and will not borrow from them (Deut 28:12). As of 06/09/2010 the national debt (not including state, local, and household debt) is $13,046,148,615,770.79 (at 5% interest rate, we would have to pay over $652 Billion a year just to cover the interest!). To pay off the total debt it would cost every family of 4, over $168,000(and again, that does not including state, local, and household debt)!

If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them; Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will rid evil beasts out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
(14-17) But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
(31-35) And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste. Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies' land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths. As long as it lieth desolate it shall rest; because it did not rest in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
Definition of "terror"
1. Intense, overpowering fear. See Synonyms at fear.
2. One that instills intense fear: a rabid dog that became the terror of the neighborhood.
3. The ability to instill intense fear: the terror of jackboots pounding down the street.
4. Violence committed or threatened by a group to intimidate or coerce a population, as for military or political purposes.
The United States as a whole is keeping less and less of Yahweh's laws as time goes on. In the last hundred years, we are paying more and more taxes (sowing our seed in vain), we are seeing more and more sickness, and we see more and more "terrorists" whose whole goal is to strike "terror" in the hearts of American people. Yahweh said that if we would obey his laws, this would not happen. Yahweh is not in breach of contract here, we are. I am not a prophet, but I do not take Yahweh's word with just "a grain of salt". The next thing we will see is a sword coming though our land and our cities becoming waste (unless we repent).
Deuteronomy 28:65-66
And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but YHWH shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:
If the law no longer applies, then why all the curses?
1. Heart attacks up: (trembling heart)
2. More and more people have failing eyes
3. We spend over 30% in overall taxes (sowing our seed in vain)
4. Terrorism
5. More "sorrow of mind" (ADD, autism, lower overall national I.Q. Alzheimer's disease, etc.)
6. More failing crops
7. More and more national debt (Deuteronomy 28:44)
In Deuteronomy 28, Yahweh lays out many of the curses that will come on Israelite nations for not keeping his law. Then he says that these curses will be a sign and a wonder for ever!
Deuteronomy 28:45-46
...because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of YHWH thy Elohim, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever.
For some reason, America and other Israelite nations, are getting these same curses now and they do not know that it is Yahweh sending them signs and wonders (even though Yahweh said they would be signs and wonders to his people forever!) (One more point: How can these curses be "signs and wonders" forever for breaking Yahweh's laws if His laws are abolished?)
Let us look at some other laws that Yahweh thought were a good idea for a nation:
If someone steals your new car and wrecks it today, and you do not have insurance, you are out much money. Then, your tax dollars has to put that thief in prison for a few years which can cost between 10 and 50K a year! (In 2004 it cost the United States tax payers about 48 billion dollars to keep criminals locked up.) When this guy is locked up, usually his biggest influence is not the guards or preachers that come in once a week, but other criminals that he spends his days with.
In Yahweh's system, you don't even need to buy theft insurance. If someone steals your new car and wrecks it, under his laws, you can just announce that anyone who catches the thief will get a new (unscratched) car! Because under Yahweh's system, when the thief is caught he will have to replace your new car with five new cars (Exodus 22:1).
This will allow you to pay a bounty of one car to the bounty hunter that catches the thief and the best part is, it will give you 4 cars as payment! I know what you are thinking now...the crook probably will not be able to afford it. That is fine too, then the thief will work for you until the debt is paid. If he doesn't work for you, he will get whipped with up to forty lashes a day (Deuteronomy 25:3). It won't take too many days for this thief to shape up. Also, how many repeat offenders do you think there will be under this system?
Under Yahweh's system, there was a place to hold them until the verdict, but there was never a jail sentence. But by looking at the penalties that Yahweh set up, I am sure the rehabilitation rate (for those not executed) was much higher than our current system.
Today, the United States has millions of laws! The United States has more lawyers than any other country! The U.S. makes up about 5% of the world's population. The lawyers in the U.S. make up somewhere between 25% to 35% of the world's lawyers (http://www.centerjd.org/private/mythbuster/MB_number_of_lawyers.htm ), which means we have 5 to 7 times more lawyers than the average nation. We have lawyers that specialize in certain fields that can not possibly know all the laws for their specialty. Many businesses have lawyers on their monthly payroll just to keep them out of trouble. This cost is passed to the consumers.
All of God’s laws can fit on a few pages of paper. We could cut the number of our lawyers to next to nothing. Lawyers are like the soldier bees. They do not produce anything; they only consume the production of the workers. The less percentage of soldier bees a colony has, the more excess produce they will end up with.
The following professions could be eliminated (or close to it) under Yahweh's system. This would reduce the number of "soldier bees" and increase the number of "worker bees" and therefore increase our the nations overall productivity.

3. Correction officers
4. Tax form preparers
Today, government officials can have private businesses on the side or own huge amount of stock in certain arms companies or oil companies. This could influence a government official's decision to go to war with another nation or change some laws that would benefit his company. Anyone who could make many millions of dollars from one decision can be influenced by the money. Yahweh was aware of this. In Yahweh's system of government, all public officials are there for life and are fed, clothed, and housed, but get no retirement fund and no property. I wonder if the reason Yahweh set it up that way was to prevent bad decisions or evil acts based on personal prosperity. Maybe Yahweh is pretty smart after all!
My purpose for writing this article is not to start a new party called, "The Mosaic Law Party" to run up against the Republicans and Democrats. I wrote this article because more and more debt, sickness, terrorism, failing crops and other penalties are coming to our nation. If people are not aware of where the blame lies, then when they see more sickness, they will think we need more drugs. When they see more terrorist they will think we need more laws, less privacy, and more police. When they see more crops failing, they will think we need to genetically engineer better crops. When they see more and more taxes, they will think the next president will be their savior. And, one day, when they see that our government has gone bankrupt, they will think that our next fiat currency will be better. All these so called solutions just mask the problem (and we are using so much labor in creating these temporary masks).
We are to blame for all these penalties.
