For some reason, so many people hate the law of God. They think it is meaningless, archaic, sadistic, fanatical and a yoke of bondage. Let us read some other views about the law from the Bible.
Psalm 1:1-2
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
Psalm 19:7-11
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.
Psalm 119:70-72
Their heart is as fat as grease; but I delight in thy law. It is good for me that I have been afflicted; that I might learn thy statutes. The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
Psalm 119:97
O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
Psalm 119: 127-131
Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold. Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way. Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them. The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple. I opened my mouth, and panted: for I longed for thy commandments.
Psalm 119: 159

Psalm 119: 164-167
Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. LORD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments. My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
Deuteronomy 4:5-8
Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the land whither ye go to possess it. Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. For what nation is there so great, who hath God so nigh unto them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call upon him for? And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
By looking at the above verse, it doesn’t look like God thought the law was a “yoke of bondage”. It looks like God thought His law was a pretty good idea. If Israel kept His law, they would prosper so well that other nations would see how great their law was, which would lead them to the lawgiver. It looks like any wise nation would think His law was a pretty good idea too.
People who think the law was a “yoke of bondage” do not understand the scriptures. The law was made for our own good (Deuteronomy 10:13). They give us understanding, make us wise, and by keeping them we are showing love to God and to our neighbor. It is no wonder why it is so hard for the Jews who study God’s law to accept mainstream Christianity.
